North Harbour fullback Jack McPhee made his debut for the New Zealand team at the Dubai sevens in November. He has since shaved off his trademark beard but there was a week or so stubble when he played sevens for North Harbour at the recent Bay of Plenty Provincial Sevens at Mount Maunganui.
